others increasing your business contacts, while helping our Association continue to grow and better serve

Builders Council
Bill Parks, J & B Builders
Phil Warrick, Piedmont Wholesale Engineered Products
Provides education programs, information sharing and networking opportunities for builders. Periodic meetings are held with city and county building officials. Task forces are formed as needed to address industry specific issues or concerns. Coordinates annual scholarship program.
Building & Grounds
Oversight of Association property maintenance and repairs.
Community Service
Pete Lane, Ivey Lane, Inc.
Tim Crawford, Bradco Supply Corp.
Coordinates community service projects and opportunities for membership involvement. Works in
partnership with other community organizations with emphasis on affordable housing. Conducts every
other year Raising Roofs…Builders for Habitat build.
Education
Greg Seifert, Blue Ridge Builders of Summerfield
Provides variety of educational opportunities for builder and associate members, including professional
designation courses.
Finance
Clark Bennett, BB&T
Serves as financial advisors for the Association. Prepares annual budget and reviews quarterly financial
reports.
Golf Tournament
Mickey Cook, Barco Builders, LLC
Plans and promotes annual spring and fall golf tournaments.
Government Affairs
Joe Jenkins, Innovative Building & Marketing Solutions
Gary Hill, Tradition Homes
Monitors issues that relate to the Guilford County building industry. Serves as forum for education and
policy discussion. Task forces are formed on an as-needed basis to address emerging, local issues.
Membership TEAM

Sherry Stevenson, The Rhinoceros Times
Coordinates membership development and retention efforts, including annual review of benefits and
services. Committee members serve as GBA Ambassadors.
Parade of Homes
Carolyn Byrum, Pine Hall Brick
Jennifer Strimple, Home Team Builders, Inc.
Plans and implements scattered site new home tours. Provides an opportunity for builders to market new construction showcasing the latest construction technologies, products and services to area consumers.
Public Relations
Lisa Sims, Innovative Building & Marketing Solutions
Provides strategic direction on marketing and public relations initiatives for our Association.
Special Events
Linda Ball, The Real Estate Book
Jim Sandknop, South Star Builders, Inc.
Develops and plans special membership events for the Association including Associates Expo; seminars
and workshops; and the annual Southern Ideal Home Show Preview Night.
Sporting Clay Tournament
Carl Wilburn, Chandler Concrete Company
Plans and implements Sporting Clay tournaments.
Tour of Remodeled Homes
Mark Bolens, Acorn Construction, Inc.
Sponsored by the Remodelers Council, plans and implements scattered site tour of remodeled homes.
Provides annual opportunity for remodelers to showcase professional remodeling and renovation
projects.
