GBA Membership Pays Dividends…
Thanks to GBA for working with Guilford County to simplify and reduce building and inspection fees in surrounding small towns such as Summerfield and Oak Ridge.  Many of us are realizing close to a hundred percent reduction in permitting fees…which is a savings we can pass on to our homeowners.
-- John Turner, Turner Homes, Inc.

Great Marketing Opportunities…
Our company has participated in each of GBA’s signature events - the Parade of Homes, Tour of Remodeled Homes and Showcase of Homes.  Each event provides a great marketing opportunity, not only for our company, but for our suppliers and subcontractors to showcase their products and services.
-- Gary Jobe, Gary Jobe Builder, Inc.

Helping Others Achieve Home Ownership…
Raising Roofs…Builders for Habitat

is a wonderful partnership between GBA and Habitat for Humanity.  Through the efforts of hundreds of our members, we have constructed more than 32 homes for hard working families in the past four years.  It is an incredible experience that warms your heart and shows that together we can make a difference.
-- Lindsay Burkart, Central Carolina Grading

Return on Investment…

Our company has found that by participating in GBA events such as membership meetings and the Associates Expo, as well as advertising in Builder Update, we have gained name recognition and increased our business considerably.   In the past three years since joining, we have tripled our contractor accounts.
-- Don Hill, Blossman Gas

Staying Abreast of Industry Trends…
Membership in the Builders Association has helped our company stay abreast of industry trends and issues.   We have found the Builder Roundtables and seminars to be very timely and informative such as those on sealed crawl spaces and green building techniques held in conjunction with the Southern Ideal Home Show. -- Robert Millican, Millican Construction

Critical Legislative Representation…

The Builders Association – on the local, state and national level - works hard to oppose any legislation authorizing the imposition of impact fees, land-transfer taxes, or any other tax or fee that unfairly imposes the cost of public facilities on the construction industry. This is critical to each of us as taxpayers in our community.
-- Jason Smith, Smith Marketing, Inc.
