SUMMARY:Building for the Future: Construction Careers Scholarship
DESCRIPTION:Skilled Trades Scholarships & Training Grants\nWorkforce development scholarships and training grants will be awarded to community college or technical school students seeking a career in a construction related skilled trade.  Application Deadline for the fall semester is May 30. \nScholarships are being awarded to students entering a program considered to be a skilled trade in the construction industry including but not limited to carpentry\, HVAC\, plumbing\, electrical\, masonry\, etc. \nScholarships and training grants will be considered on the recommendation of an advisor/teacher and on the applicant’s future plans in the construction industry as determined by the answers on the scholarship application. \nClick HERE to find additional information\, including application and advisor form. \n

DESCRIPTION:Our annual awards meeting and celebration will be held on Wednesday\, April 2 featuring Jim Tobin\, NAHB President & CEO. Jim will provide the latest updates on issues impacting our industry on the national level. We will also have updates on local and state regulatory and code issues. Following the presentation will be a networking reception and opportunity to congratulate our 2024 Annual Award recipients. \nSpecial thanks to our meeting sponsor: CPI Security \nThe meeting will be held at Starmount Forest Country Club…presentation begins at 4:00 pm…followed by a networking reception from 5:30-7:00 pm. Hors d’oeuvres and cash bar will be available. \nReservations are required by March 28.  Tickets are $25. \nRegistrations after March 28  & Walk-In’s are $40. \n\n
