DESCRIPTION:Our Spring Parade of Homes showcasing more than 30 newly constructed homes throughout Greensboro and the surrounding area will be held Saturday & Sunday\, April 24-25 & May 1-2. There will be a mixture of traditional open houses…as well as some homes are virtual tour only…due to being sold and/or under construction. \nOpen houses will be held from 1-5 pm…admission is free. We ask that all attendees follow CDC guidelines regarding social distancing\, face coverings\, along with the use of hand sanitizer as builders will be following safety protocols as well. \n\n\n\nVirtual tours will be available for the majority of our Parade homes to preview in advance. DESCRIPTION:Our fall golf tournament will be held on Wednesday\, October 21 at Bryan Park Golf Course with tee times beginning at 9 am. \nDue to current COVID-19 restrictions\, we can’t have a gathering before or following the tournament. Safety guidelines will be provided by the course and are to be followed by all participants\, volunteers and golf staff. Everyone is asked to social distance. SUMMARY:GBA Invitational Golf Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Our postponed spring golf tournament is now a summer tournament! We look forward to getting together at Bryan Park on Thursday\, August 6. We will be on the Players Course this year.  Boxed lunches will be provided. \nDue to COVID-19 restrictions\, we can not have a shotgun start…instead we will have assigned tee times. In addition\, we can’t gather for cocktails & awards on the patio following play. SUMMARY:Virtual CE: Building Code Updates
DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION IS CLOSED for our July 23 continuing education classes for general contractors. Please visit our CE page for additional classes being offered August – November. \nMORNING SESSION:  8:00 am – 12:15 pm  \n2020 NCLBGC Mandatory CE Course  ( 2 hours )   \nThe NC Licensing Board for General Contractor’s 2020 mandatory course explains the statutes and regulations in which qualifiers and licensees must comply. Students will review current law\, regulations\, rules and statutory terminology used by the NCLBGC. Students will also participate in a practical exercise in the application of knowledge they learned and understood during the class. This course satisfies the two-hour mandatory course requirement for 2020. \nNC Residential Energy Code Chapter 11 Changes  ( 2 hours )   \nParticipants will gain a working knowledge of the 2018 North Carolina Residential Energy Code Chapter 11 changes. The session will cover the changes in the printed volume of the Residential Code Chapter 11 as well as changes to the Energy code provisions adopted by the NC Building Code Council. \nAFTERNOON SESSION:  1:30 – 5:30 pm  \nBuilding Codes  ( 4 hours )    \nBuilders and remodelers need to execute projects that comply with relevant codes and standards. This course explains why regulations are written\, which agencies write them and how to deal with the representatives of those agencies. Topics include state and local building departments\, plan review\, permits\, inspections\, code enforcement and the appeals process.
