SUMMARY:GTCC Carpentry Program Needs Your Input
DESCRIPTION:Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) is now able to re-schedule the program review process for the Carpentry program that was originally cancelled earlier this year due to COVID-19…and they need industry input. \nGTCC knows your time is valuable\, as such they are utilizing a structured process to gather information known as a DACUM (Developing a Curriculum).  A DACUM is a nationally recognized method that uses an experienced facilitator working with a focus group of employers to identify major duties and related tasks included in an occupation\, as well as\, the necessary knowledge\, skills\, and traits for an entry-level position in that field. This is an opportunity for you to provide the college meaningful feedback that can directly impact your workforce. \nTo maintain social distancing and accommodate the meeting size it has been re-scheduled to be held: \n\nDate/Time: Wednesday\, November 18th from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM \nLocation: GTCC Jamestown Campus (601 E Main St\, Jamestown\, NC 27282)  \nBuilding/Room: Koury Hospitality Building (Room 170)  \n\nPlease RSVP to Tina Keen to confirm your attendance by Thursday\, November 12. \n\nPhone: 336-334-4822\, ext. 53023\nEmail:  tgkeen@gtcc.edu\n\nGTCC depends on valuable feedback from industry partners to help them ensure the skills being taught make their graduates employable at your companies. We hope that you will be able to attend this event and share industry expertise and needs with them. \nThank you in advance for your consideration in participating in this important process. \n

SUMMARY:Virtual Tour of Remodeled Homes
DESCRIPTION:Submit Commitment Form by July 17  \nDue to the pandemic\, our 23rd annual Tour of Remodeled Homes will be a virtual tour this year. Many homeowners are hesitant to open their homes but are willing to allow remodelers to showcase the renovation via a virtual tour.  It is important as an industry to promote and showcase the value and benefits of working with professional remodelers. \nRegarding TOUR entries…there is no time frame or requirement on when the project was completed. For current projects\, it needs to be finalized by July 31 to schedule the virtual tour. \nWe will produce a marketing campaign in early September promoting the Virtual TOUR and our participating remodelers…which will include a digital magazine\, TV commercials and social media sponsored ads and posts. TOUR information remains online for up to 12 months\, providing an additional marketing benefit for participating remodelers. \nAs people have been quarantined in their homes for the past three months\, the demand for professional renovations is growing.  Take advantage of this year’s Virtual TOUR to showcase your workmanship! \nEntry Registration Deadline: July 17         \n 2020 Virtual TOUR Participation Agreement Packet \nAdvertising & Sponsorship Deadline: July 31  \n2020 Virtual Tour Sponsorship Advertising Agreement \nAdditional Information:   Mavis Holcombe   (336) 706-6942
