Project Estimator

KMW Builders is an Unlimited General Contractor based in Greensboro North Carolina, operating in the Carolinas.
We specialize in multi-family new construction and residential apartment renovation.

Job Description:
• KMW Builders is seeking a skilled Preconstruction Project Estimator with 5 or more years of experience in the multi-family industry. Our projects range from 3-story new construction apartment buildings to renovation of existing apartment projects.
• This role will involve estimating and takeoff of plans as well as specifications.
• They will be soliciting bids which will require them to review project plans and specifications, determine the full scope of work, perform detail material takeoff, bid out to subcontractors and suppliers, review proposals, and prepare a budget for the owner.
• They must be an effective communicator who is able to maintain positive relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, suppliers and other employees.
• The individual must be very organized and detail oriented.
• Some travel may be required.

Requirements:
• Four year construction degree or equivalent
• 3 years construction experience

Desired Skills/Certifications:
• Proficient in Excel
• Timberline Estimating training
• Planswift experience
• ProCore experience
• MS Project training
• Field Experience in Construction industry
