With great sadness, we lost a long-time GBA member and friend this past week. Leslie Millsaps, president of DLM Builders, was tragically killed in an auto accident on Thursday, October 17.
Leslie has been an active GBA member for more than 25 years since forming their company – DLM Builders – with her husband David. She served in numerous leadership roles within our organization including on the GBA Board of Directors, chair of the Remodelers Council and Tour of Remodeled Homes. Leslie and David were recognized as GBA Builder Member of the Year in 2002…and most recently were awarded the highest honor bestowed by our Association with the Eugene Gulledge Award for long standing service. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
There will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday. October 26 at 1:30 pm at Christ United Methodist Church – 410 N. Holden Road. The family will receive friends following the service at the church, as well as gathering at the Millsaps home – 822 Rankin Place in Greensboro from 4-8 pm. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested for two organizations that held a very special place in Leslie’s heart: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro (Raising Roofs…Builders for Habitat) and Preservation Greensboro.
Please keep David, Megan, Clay and all the DLM family and friends in your prayers during this extremely difficult time.
