Continuing Education

North Carolina General Contractors are required to complete 8 hours of continuing education annually for license renewal. There is a 2-hour mandatory course along with 6 hours of electives required each year.

As an approved NC Licensing Board for General Contractors (NCLBGC) education provider, the Greensboro Builders Association will continue to offer CE courses during the year with discounted pricing for GBA members.

You will have the option to register for a full day (8 hours) or select different dates for morning and/or afternoon sessions. We offer a variety of topics for the electives, including several NC Builder Institute (NCBI) courses. Courses will be offered virtually via Zoom unless otherwise noted.

We offered a class in February 2024 for those unable to complete their CE requirements by November 30, 2023 for license renewal as well as for anyone wanting to complete CE requirements for 2024 in the first part of the year.
