Did You Know…NC Department of Labor offers a free safety and health consultation program to assist small employers.
Frank Wiesner, NC DOL Consultative Services Bureau, will be joining us on Thursday, June 25 at 12 noon to provide an overview of the consultation services program and answer questions you may have. Many DOL consultants are former OSHA officers so they can provide a wealth of information on safety issues and concerns for construction jobsites.

NC DOL Safety & Health Consultation Program Overview
The Consultation Program will:
- Provide free on-site consultation services at your request and consent
- Perform a review of your safety program
- Help you detect potential safety and health hazards
- Assist you with your safety and health management program
- Provide technical assistance
- Answer your general questions about OSH Compliance
- Provide employee/employer training
- Engage your subcontractors in the Consultation Program on your jobsite
- Assist you in qualifying for recognition/exemption programs
The Consultation Program will not:
- Issue citations or propose penalties for violations of OSH standards
- Guarantee that any workplace will be free from all OSH violations
