GTCC Carpentry Program Needs Your Input

November 18, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) is now able to re-schedule the program review process for the Carpentry program that was originally cancelled earlier this year due to COVID-19…and they need industry input.

GTCC knows your time is valuable, as such they are utilizing a structured process to gather information known as a DACUM (Developing a Curriculum).  A DACUM is a nationally recognized method that uses an experienced facilitator working with a focus group of employers to identify major duties and related tasks included in an occupation, as well as, the necessary knowledge, skills, and traits for an entry-level position in that field. This is an opportunity for you to provide the college meaningful feedback that can directly impact your workforce.

To maintain social distancing and accommodate the meeting size it has been re-scheduled to be held:

  • Date/Time: Wednesday, November 18th from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Location: GTCC Jamestown Campus (601 E Main St, Jamestown, NC 27282)
  • Building/Room: Koury Hospitality Building (Room 170)

Please RSVP to Tina Keen to confirm your attendance by Thursday, November 12.

GTCC depends on valuable feedback from industry partners to help them ensure the skills being taught make their graduates employable at your companies. We hope that you will be able to attend this event and share industry expertise and needs with them.

Thank you in advance for your consideration in participating in this important process.
