October is Careers in Construction Month

October is Careers in Construction month…join us as we kick off the month with Oktoberfest and end with our Building for the Future Casino Night with all proceeds supporting skilled trades training scholarships.

We encourage your participation in promoting the building industry on your website and social media pages throughout the month. Building greater awareness of the tremendous opportunities in our industry is critical to growing our future workforce.

The Greensboro Builders Association is committed to helping the next generation of construction professionals succeed. Through partnerships with area schools, colleges and workforce development programs, we are focused on building greater awareness for the career opportunities in construction.

Join Our Workforce Development Team

Industry members are needed to assist our educational and organizational partners. This can include visiting classrooms…participating in career fairs…providing job shadowing…mentoring students…providing building materials and/or financial resources to support various workforce initiatives. If you are interested in joining our workforce team…let us know your areas of interest by completing a brief online survey…and we will be in touch as opportunities arise.

As part of our workforce development initiatives, participating in career fairs at area high schools and community colleges provides an opportunity to promote careers in construction along with our Building for the Future skilled trades scholarship program.
